OK the fake love affair continues with officer Harmon Rabb Here he is! Have a look see, as you can see they just released season 4 but horribly I have yet to see more that 3 of this seasons episodes cause there is stuff to do like clean you house and plan a wedding and scrapbook and wight watchers and e-mail. I could go on for quite a while but you get the general ideal I'm a busy lady. What is great is that I will have something to do after the wedding I look forward to watching harm and the major fall in love. Yes they are one awesome pair of lawyers. Share in the goodness of Jag, Just spreading the love for Jag, Oh how I wish they did not take this show off the air.

man o man are you gonna like it

My cousin sent me this by e-mail I thought you all would love it I did A man was sick and tired of going to work every day while his wife stayed home. He wanted her to see what he went through so he prayed "Dear Lord: I go to work every day and put in 8 hours while my wife merely stays at home. I want her to know what I go through, so please allow her body to switch with mine for a day. Amen. God, in his infinite wisdom, granted the man's wish. The next morning, sure enough, the man awoke as a woman. He arose, cooked breakfast for his mate, awakened the kids, set out their school clothes, fed them breakfast, packed their lunches, drove them to school, came home and picked up the dry cleaning, took it to the cleaners and stopped at the bank to make a deposit, went grocery shopping, then drove home to put away the groceries, paid the bills and balanced the check book. He cleaned the cat's litter box and bathed the dog. Then it was already 1 P.M. and he hurried to make the b

when was the last time you scrapped?

Image
I don't know about you but when was the last time you scrapped? for me it was for the blog when I did the add inspirations so today I'm going to do another and post it so all can see that I really do scrap not just sit in the middle of my scrapbook room and look at it all and wish. OK so I'm going to go to my new pile, pick a paper, and go to it............ and here my first page in weeks. I'm lovin the green flower I have never used them so it was opportunity knocking. This was a 8x8 and the pattern paper is by little dudes?? and flower is by pure passion petals. fyi I'm not in love with this page for some reason. So did y'all notice the poll question? Did ya like that? I thought we could do with some spicing up so I'll be changing the poll every Sunday and try to keep it scrap book related most of the time. And I have just a weird question, Have any of you ever wore out a keyboard? I have a Gateway and it's about 1 1/2 years old. When I was typ

good morning .... I mean afternoon

I had many errands to do today and finally I'm done. Today my car window decided not to go up and down any more (of course this happened this morning) shortly before it was 11 am. why on a hot day I have no ideal, it could have waited until this weekend. I mean really why couldn't it have been a bit more patient for me? But that aside today I had some running around to do and I had to join weight watcher cause my doc said so in a very nice way. Ugh let the pissing and morning begin. I'm not very excited about it but we will see is all I'm going to say. I will say that I KNOW that it is unrealistic for them to tell me I need to weigh 111 to 147 pounds uh... on what planet? Preferably one with zero gravity I'm sure. I mean if I eat once every thee or four weeks maybe it could happen. The last time I weighed 130 I was a junior in high school and about 5'1 maybe 5'2 and I was a size 10 but that was before my "girls" came along. Yes then I was not fla

scrap gossip

Huh is all I can say when I read Heidi Swapps post of late http://heidiswapp.typepad.com/ she is moving to China with her 5 kids, for at lest one year. Wow I hope it does not affect her products they are great but China? oh man I don't know if that would be an option for me, 300 miles yes I can handle that but China you gotta be an adventurist at heart or crazy.

it in there ........somwhere

So as you can guess i haven't had much time to scrap of late. That's one reason why I'm excited about this weekend. Just think the smell of paper and glue the sound of rustling paper...... ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh .............................OK so I'm exaggerating a bit but I'm entitled of late I've been severely deprived of my hobby. Moving on, can you believe Labor Day is staring us in the face? This summer is for all practical stand points over. It's only 10 weeks until retreat and about 16 weeks until Christmas. This weekend will probably be the last weekend of my beloved Haverty's commercial la la la da da . Summer has came and went this year so it's time to send it out in style. Could there be any better way to celebrate it other than to crop with Friends? Of course this will forever be remembered as the wedding hot august summer for me, what memories will this summer hold for you? Maybe that will will be my first page this weekend Remembering summer

hi there

Well I'm back after a weekend up home and ready to resume the normal pace of wedding mania 07. But first today I must unpack, keep my appointment with the washer and dryer and have some breakfast. I 'll write more later. a

who me?

Well never let it said that I cant keep a secret. Keeping this wedding shower a secret was killing me but in the end I'm so glad it was worth it. It was a total shock to her and she enjoyed every minute of it. While we were having her most wonderful shower the weather here turned a bit nasty, apparently we had some tornado's just a bit up north of here. the tornado sirens went for almost half hour non stop (which is very unusual we usually have them once every 1/2 hour) but not yesterday. Back in BG we do not have sirens like this and I think it is fool hearty that we don't. Since I have grown up with them I think of them of a some what necessity since we live in n'ader country. Also a weird thing happened my niece Alica asked what else did they use the sirens for? I was shocked that she did or has never been taught the origin of sirens (think about the cold war) I dint answer her question (I should have) but felt it best not to at that time. weekend life

Well I am currently on wedding overloadand needed a scrapper break. I was surfing and found this site http://scrapability.squarespace.com/ this chick has one impressive blog roll check it out here at http://www.linkagogo.com/go/Members/scrapability/ScrapBlogs/Personal+Scrapblogs I don't think I have ever seen a scrapper list so long. Take some time to checkout a few of them, I did but be warned lots of digi's (digital scrappers) on that list but a few old fashioned still get'in by the old fashioned way. Have a great weekend I' m off to go to a date..........with my washer and dryer ha ha ha blessings a

I am woman, I am tired woman

Yes this woman is very tired she got up and got out of her house before 6 am. That's right I left this house this morning before 9 am. No I'm not on any drugs. I had to get some shopping done hl had wedding stuff 50 percent off this week (just in time for us!) So there have been many trips, many I tell you to the hl store. Rod's air is out in his car so I took him to work and headed to both wally worlds shortly after I dropped him off. (I just could not let him drive a car without air on a 104 degree day, even if he can no longer have brownie points) by 11 I was home to hide away from the mid day heat and head for my second shower of the day. Then with very slowly I started working away at my morning finds seeing what will work and what would not. About 3 I headed towards glasgow and found a flower I have been looking for and by 5pm I was driving by Bonnie's. As we passed the store I told Rod to stop and inhale, I asked him if he could smell the scrapbook papers and

OK I know Beth has yet to pick a bouquet I thought I would work on a back up plan. This can be the trough a way bouquet or Alicia's (If it's Alicia I have a slightly darker blue flower to use) or just a table center piece , who knows at this point in time? But these flowers just jumped out at me today so have a look and tell me what you think. The ribbon does not match, it is an example only and the ends of the flowers would be even and covered (there is just not time for that right now) it cost about 10 bucks to make plus ribbon.

back in the day........I HAD GRASS

I just thought y'all would like to see my dead grass. Yes I know it looks just like yours but I thought y'all would share in my sorrow. shh shh stop crying it's going to be ok. If you cant stop crying you are quietly asked to moved on to the may post when everything was....... green. ps. the patch of green is the only thing we have watterd For some reason I cantget my pictures to down load be back later with pictures of my dead grass

7 Day Forecast It's been so hot but yet it's still hot and the forcast is to be the same. Again I make this decloration I'm ready for fall.

hi

As promised my days have been filled with wedding planning as is today which leaves little time for fun stuff like scrapping. yesterday was spent with Styrofoam and fake flowers today will be picture frames and reviewing lists and making new ones. Earlier this morning I was helping my techno mom retrieve her e-mail. her basket (e-mail) was so full it took a while to download but finally we got it, and she is discovering the wonders of mapquest via e-mail. It always surprises me, my parents who are 76&75 never shrug at using the computer or trying something new, they are never afraid or intimidated by it. When some (like my in laws) who are afraid of a cam corder and any other thing remotely related to technology. What makes some people dive in and want a new experience and others back off and become intimidated at there age? I mean If I ever get the chance to live that long I hope I will be willing to explore and not back away from anything different. What I want to make c

I'm back

Yes yesterday I was feeling a bit under the weather and didn't even make it to the scrapbook room, a first in a while. I went home over the weekend and came back feeling like a cold was coming on but I feel pretty good today, it's probably just exhaustion. Which is why I feel better today after a day (yesterday)to rest. I was wedding planning while I was up north and there is not much to tell other than that I'm a bit worried about my niece. On Saturday we all sat down and met with the caterer (how do you spell that????)and lets just say by the time it was over(my nice) she had perfected the deer in the headlight look. At 6:30pm she said she could not take it anymore and left, (she came in at 2pm), and she was clearly not fairings as well as we all had hoped. We did get the better part of everything done and just about everything left to do fits easily on three (very small) note book pages. So today I'm going to be making white and blue topiarys . On another good note m

ready,set cool

Image
Maybe this will cool us off Even if It's only snowed once in the four years I've been here I'm ready for another one. Here's to cooler weather, being able to walk out side without sweat running down you back, not burning you hands when you touch your steering wheel or seeing anymore temps over 100.

2 weeks

for two weeks I have been searching for my keys without luck so I am clueless as to where they are and key less. yes I know dh told me to buy one of those clips but I just never got around to it and here I am no keys. At this point I think they must have gotten thrown away or put up in something peculiar. I have no earthly ideal where they are. So I guess I the one in the dog house for now : ( Of late we have been searching for a paint color and we are on our 5th can of trial pant. I'm not joking I have not liked anything until this last batch we tried out last night. THUNDER GREY is as close as it has came and it's not blue enough. I don't think we ever have had this much trouble picking out a color and for the most part that is the problem (color). Back home we always had white or off white wall never a roasted red pepper on the dining room wall until we moved down south and decided to "color me happy" (so to speak). If I were left alone with this choice I

me

I have been very busy with wedding stuff so I haven't had much scrap time of late the qvc thing was good I did buy a few things, but best of all was 160 pages of assorted bazzill for about 35 after shipping. That's about 22 cents a sheet it does not beat big lots but it's bazzill . ( bazzill ? how do you spell that?) Last week I went plum wild and bought a crop a dial (with coupons of course) but for the life of me I have not figured out how to use the thing, I can do the eyelet thing but what else? I will need a class from one of you. Well I'm off to another day of wedding planning, and domestic chores. blessings a

I can't

Image
I really can't believe I'm showing y'all this but I kid you not I did not do anything to make this sucker go any higher that it already was. I know it's not the best picture but it does say 107 that is freaky scary if you ask me I know for a fact that is the warmest temp I have ever been in. And the sad part this was on the patio that's covered! I just don't have much else to say other than stay cool. a
how does this sound how bout the usual Friday night and Saturday (late) lets take a break Sunday And Monday if we don't want to crop maybe we can run over to Bonny's or something that way we could all have an early evening cause most of you need to work on Tuesday,or you may have that last "labor day cook out" thing going on, or we could crop all day. On Saturday lets do some crock pot kinda stuff so we can eat all day (can you tell it's time for lunch?) I'll make chicken and rice in the crock and I think I may have a chocolate pie around here. dw i would love to have some spinach dip hint hint.

labor day

OK so who would like to crop at my place Labor Day weekend? Me so let's decide when Friday , Saturday , Sunday , Monday ???? Sunday morning I will probably want to go to church (I think, not sure at this point) but after would be good so let me know what times are the best warning: I do have a cat, I will put her in her room if you like, not a problem and if not we can watch her sleep in the lazy boy. ********** ========== ********** ========== ********** ========== ================== ================== ==================

many many things to do but I'm currently watching qvc thanks to chelle who left me a heads up in the comment box so I'll catch up with y'all in a bit

doing almost anything but having trouble with my asama. Yes the past two weeks have bee not good and I'm tired of feeling short of breath every time I walk in my own home. Yes I'm ready for summer to be over so I can breath. Most all summers end this way for me, at lest since I was about 17. I don't even have enough air to sweat to the oldies with Richard Simmons so this heat and humidity sucks. Yes I'm fine, just house bound and ready to go crazy from it. On another less whinier note I'm eating a blueberry bagel with pineapple flavored cream cheese and I'm thinking I should share my knowledge of this cause it's so good. It's a departure from my shredded wheat standard of late. And speaking of great I bought a Goose berry patch cook book at Cracker barrel last week " One pot meals" I mad the beans and weenies and man it was good I just did not add the molasses cause I'm not a molasses girl but here is the recipe and it's good 1 pack

Happy birthday to Chelle Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday, Happy Birthday, Happy Birthday to you I hope you have a great birthday day (you could pretend I'm singing this to you but I don't think you really want to me sing)!

burning the midnight oil

burning the midnight oil yep that's me tonight I've been doing some last min wedding stuff getting it ready to send up north. I've been busy since about 11 am this morning and it's currently 3:30 am and ticking. And that my friends equals it's way past my bed time which means I wont be blogging at 6 am in the morning so good morning to you. I hope y'all been staying cool in got up to 105 out on the patio in the shade yesterday. I do believe that is the warmest temperature I have been in in my life other than a hot car. I did manage a very late hl trip at 7:30 pm I had half an hour to get what I needed (ink pads) I hate shopping there in a rush ugh. But i got it done. If your wondering about all the blue stuff posted yesterday, it was an attempt to get some bridal shower and rehearsal dinner invitations made. You'll probably be seeing much more of the wedding hi jacking as September approaches. So I can no longer keep my eyes open to type, so this is goo

Yes I now have 28 louts without pictures thanks to the heat. And yes dh they are all 12 x12 I also discovered an interesting commercial while in my vegetative state. It is the most interesting commercial of the " mattress making mama on a Harley" she pretending to rev her "motor" cycle and talk with a rough low voice saying the phrase "come on down to bandy bedding and see the mattress making mama" (i think) This is another example of how I still think we need a good advertising agency here in b.g. and how RICH they could be. And speaking of rich just to remind you the lotto tonight is 141 million dollars! That's a bit over 7 mill a year (if you take the twenty year payments) so remember me if you win cause I have an addiction to support. and yes i got up early this morning to take my allergy meds cause the ragweed be kick'in my butt these past few days. My eyes are all red and scratch so every one do your rain dance or in secretly wash your

98, 100, 100, 101

It's heating up yesterday my back porch thermometer said 99 what will it say today? I'm betting 100, or warmer. As you can relate not much going on here at club warm. Pumpkin is staying low to the ground and was caught sleeping on a air register yesterday. I have been making sure all the ceiling fans have been going round and everyone else is fighting to flopping on the couch after work. Oh and my asama is defiantly showing it's self so I'm staying in and not doing much which means it's a perfect time to scrap and plan a wedding. I may not have any grass come fall but I will have some scrapbooking pages done and wedding planned! Stay cool a

weird

my blogger is acting up again i have not been able to post. So for those addicted It will be a short post cause it's been a long day. Rod did have a good birthday and thanks for all his well wishes. And if your wondering he is still not eligible for brownie points. It takes a while to work back up to those kinda things ya know. Any who not much going on other than our neighbor has decided to build a huge garage that totally messed up our view in back. Now when we look out our back windows we can see a garage, so I'm sure this fall we will be looking into buying some trees to hide his garage and maybe a fence. So long vacation hello landscaping and sprinkler system. That was the last thing we wanted to do was install a sprinkler system for the back cause those suckers a a pain in the butt, however you cant have landscaping and trees unless you have water. So it's look at the garage for now and save for some trees and watter later. And on that note I'm going to go. La

at the opry

Mike Snider Jimmy C. Newman Rebecca Lynn Howard - she is from ky (somewhere) and she sang about a "hot" teenage boy in high school, To be a young woman she had an awesome voice. Porter Wagoner - we all know him Jesse McReynolds & The Virginia Boys The Whites- I belive the lead singer is married to Ricky Skaggs but I'm not sure but I really think she is. They sang pins and needles and a church classic most people would know as "Swing low sweet chariot". Chely Wright- sang single white female ..... and then she sang a song about a Marine bumper sticker that made me cry Jeannie Seely- I think she may have had a bit to much of something I don't know what but just a touch to much. Ray Pillow Jake Owen Opry Square Dancers- Did y'all know in fifth grade I received a square dancing certificate? I just thought y'all would want to know. Vince Gill - did you know he has roots in my home town? he is one mildly good looking old guy who can sing George Hamilto

This morning cute and furry was being exactly that. I got up to give Rod a kiss before he left for work and walked him to the door of course you now who followed. I said bye have a good day and he said bye, love ya something like that and that is when it happened. The little fur ball looked up at him and she was waiting on him to say something to her like "bye pumpkin" but he did not he shut the door and went to work. And (I kid you not) she said " meoooow " as pitiful as she could. I think she actually expected him to say something to her. So I let it go I was sleepy and needed sleep (this was 5:45 in the morning) so I went back to bed. I awoke to a some what not familiar site she was sleeping on his pillow. Now if you don't have a cat, I don't know that you can understand ( they are creatures of habit usually lay in the same place all the time at least pumpkins is like that)but they usually don't sleep on top of your pillow, but I think she really m

the color hold

Ok so the color wheel will once again be pushed to the back burner I have a lot going on right now and today it will be short let me just say that the e-mail from scrapbook village about the school pages book/ class sounds like a good ideal if you are working on a school album. It might be a good ideal if you get stuck on 12x12 pages! (yes dh I know you work during the day but you should buy a kit each time she has her class) And this just in.... I'm loving walmart more and disappointed with it at the same time. Yesterday I went to the "other" walmart and in there scrapbooking section they had AUTUMN LEAVES STAMPS yes you herd me right! At8.98 (or close to that) they had (it looked like) 5 or 6 different kinds, however they only had 2 packages left and they were nothing to tell you about. A big disappointment is I have noticed a pricing war lately. I have found my self visiting the other walmart quite a bit and I have noticed a few things that are really bugging me. Tak

poem

I ran across this poem today I love it, I think I'm going to us it in my Aunt Jane's album The tide goes out, but leaves behind bright seashells on the sand; The sun goes down, but gentle warmth still lingers on the land; The music stops, but yet it echoes on in sweet refrains; For every joy that passes something beautiful remains . unknown author

pages

Image
OK so lets talk about the tan one that is supposed to mimic the white and brown skirt I stamped it with a flourish - and used plain card stalk and a pretty ribbon. However I messed up with the stamping and had to cover it up, so that's why it's two toned. I also could not find my little paisley stamp, and could not waist more time to look for it so it got a flourish instead. But in the end I think it's a decent page and modeled after the skirt. The black page went together without a hitch. I just mimicked the pattern on the bathing suit and put a mat over it. That's it, quick and easy I'm just scraplifting an ideal and putting in on a page. At first it may not turn out exactly how I want in but in the end it was the making of two great pages. a

inspiration

Image
inspiration OK so I'm going to skip the color wheel today (again) and talk a bit about inspiration. (cant you tell not much is going on here) How do you get scrapbook page inspiration? do scrap lift? do you look through scrapbook magazines and look for the latest trends? or do you look at your photos and say what paper matches my photo? (which is often my largest challenge sometimes the photo just coordinate the page I want to use) alright I have two examples above look at the white skirt with the brown flourishes and the black bathing suit with the blue green and aqua sunbursts. From these two pictures I'll make a page. How? Well first off pick a design you like example: I don't like the print on the black and white top so I'm not going to use cause there is no way you could get me back in that hounds tooth print (unless you have a secret copy of my senior photos) and for another example take the black and blue sundress the flowers no way am I going to do a page with 1
