The thing about traveling is..... It makes you even more tired and grumpy than you normally are. Since I've been gone I'll give you more than usual for being patient with me! This bottom card was salvaged from the scrap pile thanks to that incredible orange polka dot ribbon. I wanted eyelets with a green ribbon but my crop a dile didn't . Plus this is all specialty paper so it HAD to be salvaged. Enjoy Love Ya Blessings A

Soldiers Birthday

Another sympathy card however it would also make a great wedding, engagement, anniversary card. I've made this and the green one yesterday for a friend who needed cards for her Grandmother and Aunt. Felted paper with MM ribbon, specialty green shimmer paper and a wal mart love phrase/embellishment.

Do you think its time to clean the scanner screen? Most all the little dots are from my scanner. OK so if I did this card again I'd have a green trim separating both blacks but I didn't have a match so I didn't. Believe it or not its a sympathy card made with felted paper and mirrored silver where the word is. I thought it was extremely different yet I really like it at the same time.

Lost post 3/13/10 Have you ever rescued ducks? Yesterday I was scrapbooking something caught my eye. Three young men about 14/15 came down from the eastward pond and they were taking plastic dogie poo bags and just throwing them everywhere. Then they went to the middle pond in front of our apartment. One young boy started skipping rocks or so I thought at first. Every rock came close to hitting a duck that was in the pond. Well that was it I was on my feet and out to the balcony where I watched the boy throw a few more rocks. The fifth rock was large and very scary so I decided it was time to say something since his violent behavior was escalating. I asked him what he was doing and he politely ignored me so I asked him again in a voice that the entire apartment complex could hear. The kid responded back that he was throwing rocks at the ducks! OK so this looks much better in person than on scanner. Why I have no ideal it might be because it doesn't who knows. The gold edge also does not show up. Again why I don't know.

Let me take a break from life drama As we all know Saturday was 9/11 instead of remembering something sad lets do happy. My niece celebrated her third wedding anniversary this past week. So I needed to make a card, I'll not tell a lie, it was very hard to be inspired. After a spin over at Split Coast Stampers I found some inspiration. This is how I stacked up the card; white card base black velvet matte velum matte specialty paper from Hl black xyron back with embossed wedding clothes. elements ribbon If you do this card its easy to misplace the bride and groom wear upside down so that the card opens backwards. I would never so such a thing then tell you would I? Or would I? Ha ha Yes I just might.

My hubby spent every waking moment working this weekend. I have apologized for our life circumstance (to him) a thousand times. I hate it when our life puts pressure on him. He has said very wonderful things to me this weekend, sometimes I wonder why he puts up with me. This is what he did Before it was bare and had more weeds than grass. Yep I admit it we plant in this same spot every year and nothing survives. I really have my doubts about this surviving but we will see. The soaker hose has been put to work in hopes it will help the green plant things live. I surrounded the plants shortly before lift off. Rain, rain, don't go away We need some cooler temperatures today. I thought it was just the humidity yesterday but apparently it was 99 (according to the weather man) So I wasn't dreaming. hmmmm.Its pouring down and has been since 5:30 or so, its nice and cooling down the area. I don't enjoy rain all that much usually but its welcome none the less. I'm on a mail mission today my fil has a birthday on the fourth so priority mail it is. I had a card made for him but I'm going to stat all over because his gift is a cd set about trains so a train b-day card he will get. I'll try to post it later today. The cards currently posted are just playtime fun. I'm hungry and I know the chicken soup in the frig is calling my name, I know quirky for this time of morning but its low in points and I've been a stickler all week so I'm sticking to it.
