Remember all the debate and dilemma over what dress I would pick? Well Poof that was a pipe dream even though I ordered the dress almost one month before hand (there days shy of 30) its not ready and from what they are saying it's not going to be here. Y'all I dish out or rather hubby dished out 70 bucks for nothing. Maybe I"ll have an event for new year maybe not. sigh. I give to to you the dress that will never be (unless God hands me a break on this). I'm ready to start the new year hopeful a better year next year. I keep thinking Beauty for Ashes.

The Earring Tree was the name of the mall shop where my young ears were pierced and thus was my most significant outward stepp into womanhood. I'm not a huge earring wearer however I've never been re pierced so that says something. Back to "The Party Dress Post"  if you have a party dress the earrings must be perfect. I have found a few contenders however not made my final selection. Where is a good Paparazzi rep when you need her? photo crews to Amazon for making my earring journey so... silly. Its Thanksgiving day and my pre-bought meal from Bob Evans is in the frig, the dog show is over (whippet fyi) and so is the parade. A few movies have been watched and my body says go to bed but my head is up and ready to spurt out words and wordy words. We had dinner it was good and bonus I didn't cry until about an hour ago. I had sat a picture of Mom and Dad on the hutch so I could have them with me in a way.  I wasn't able to look at it while we ate but it was comforting. Its cliché to say but an old country song is running through my mind its about spending one more day with the ones you love but then then again it only leaves you wishing for one more day.  Something like that, its not legal to post the lyrics or I would have. Today I'm wishing for that one more day, one more time. Since I didn't go home this holiday I hear the good stuff second hand. I really am wondering about turkey being on the menu this year after all the recalls however I'm going to do it anyway. So I ordered Bob Evans they have dinner for us, I need to pick up Wednesday I think thats better at this point since we are not traveling. I'm sure this weekend will be filled with late nights and home improvement and food. I must go clean out the frig now so I have room for the turkey feast. My favorite part of the usual meal? Cranberry sauce... it all about slathering it on everything you can. It goes with mashed potatoes, turkey and bread its a multi purpose food!  That is saying a true compliment says the lady who eats one food at a time on her plate.  Did you know cranberry's contain a natural gel or pectin? And that they are Native to the U.S.? Ok now I'm hungry off to go clean out the frig! link

Why do I have a Ping pong paddle in my purse? 1. I play ping pong and I'm a former ping pong world champion (extra points if you remember this Halloween costume). 2. I play ping pong on occasion for fun. 3. I'm faking y'all out. And the answer is... at the end of this blog post. Sorry but that was fun on my part. Maybe the young would say sorry no sorry? I have no ideal... I've spent the better part of yesterday morning bring to gain information about my recalled bp med. I'm thankful we have FDA recall web pages they are a wealth of information. While my type of bp med was recalled it was not my brand.  With some very carful reading I was extremely disappointed to find out it is manufactured in the same plant as the recalled medicine I also found it was my dosage it helped me come to the conclusion I will not be able to get medicine from my manufacture because all importing of any drugs for that facility are not going to be permitted into the country meanin

UGGGG I did so well I made it all through summer not complaining about the heat BECAUSE it was so freakin cold last winter.  Mother Nature needs a PMS pill cause this is the third time its going to snow this month 4-6 inches, its not even winter winter is well over a month away! Y'all I grew up in Ohio where lake effect snow is impressive but never had a huge snow like this before Turkey Day... I only remember one snow before T-Dday. Sure I remember dustings and such but not 4-6 inches when we had just had 2/3 a couple days ago. I might need an escape plan at this point, I would like to see my sister come Christmas. So a crockpot simmers with turkey chili, an apple pie is on top of the stove, while the snow carpets the ground and a very early silent night begins.

Its November 12 it has snowed twice and winter is more than a month away. At this point I'm worried I won't get to go home for Christmas and its important I go, I need to buy a headstone for Mom and Dad's grave. At least I only need to do that once and have done it before for my Aunt Jane. I bet we have had 3 to four inches of snow I dread driving in it tomorrow. Tonight at midnight Stephanie Plum 25 comes out. I didn't order the book because I've been disappointed the last say ten books so I ordered the audio . It's no where as good as it once was (like everything else). I'm hoping to hear from my fellow Ranger friends that its unbelievably wonderful. Hubby has been home for three days I've enjoyed it and I'm going to be lonely tomorrow not having my Pumpkin or Mom to talk to. Turkey shepherds pie is going in the oven tonight perfect for a very cold and snowy night.

I just ordered two dresses one for a Christmas party and one that might preform double duty I'll need it for a Gala and or the theater (we are going to Shun Yun for our anniversary). I love dresses thats no new news but the party dresses are another kettle of fish they are more about price because they are so dang expensive. Oh the contender dresses they were truly swirling in my head. I'd thought I'd share (the contenders not what I ordered) and go totally girly on y'all.

Fist snow fall of the year or well last or November? I've lived out west of the Mi...ssi...ssi...ppi for more than 6 years and I've never seen seen snow before Thanksgiving. We had about a quarter inch of heavy wet flaky fluff late last night. Very thankfully we had covered the patio table just Sunday. As I harness the enthusiasm of a child hoping school will be called off I'm sorta scrapbooking I'm preparing table menu's for a black tie dinner we will be attending in December. It's fun I've never made a table menu so there is that.... for lack of better words. Might I add my first successful photo load... Woot Woot! Stay warm!

We brought Pumpkin home today and for the first time in her life she gets to get on the mantle she would like that because its not a high mantle she was not a cat who loved heights. And now I get lost in thought while trying to continue. Today I made a painting.... If I ever figure out this photo thing I'll share its one of those easy sip while you paint kind of things except no sipping wine thing and truthfully it would have added a level of difficulty that would have not been for the better. I'm spending tonight printing out our voter ballot and preparing for tomorrow sixteen pages later I'm thinking I'm in over my head. Having only lived her for a few years complicates things but I will forge on. Hubby started voting again last year and I'm shocked he is staying with it. This is a busy week I feel like I'm running a race and a bit nervous about a Doctor appointment to I'm worried about test scores as we all do as we get older.  Cross your fingers fo
