The Retreat Road (another update)

84.95 a cabin = 169.90 (for two cabins 1 night) + taxes (10%= 16.99) + 186.89 divided by 8 = $23.37 (if you divide that by nine its $20.78) for the first night (and I'm taking it for granted that Betty wont need the other money until the event it's self) . So with 8 the total cost for lodging would be $ 46.74 plus food (for 9 it would be $ 41. 56 + food) and you'd be able to stretch that out, half now, half later. I hope I've helped more than hurt with info.

We have nine responses Betty will need to know who is who. I don't see why all of us could not go we could bring a blow up bed or the like. I'm taking it for granted that y'all know we will be double bunking in beds (at least that's the way I understand it and if not I need clarification, if I'm wrong) OK so if you haven't please respond to Betty soon as you are able. She will let me know when the time is right to move forward and start making plans about food and such. I'll put a sign in sheet on the side bar but Betty needs to know your down with the money matter.

Just a few things I added
Lisa's etsy store (go visit it's nice)to the side bar and it's in the scrapbook links section. The section has just been pushed down the page a bit but its still there.
I also listed Barbs event on the side bar. Remember if there is a month when we need to use my home for a crop or stamping party just say the word. If y'all would like a New Years Day crop at my place I'm game sounds like fun if you ask me.
Also I've started a stamp page when I'm ready I'll have y'all bombard me with the stamp images but give me a bit to get the sucker up and running.

I had a busy day yesterday and today as well I'll check in late tonight.

I went on several retreats and what we did was divide up the meals. By this I mean we took so many people responsible for breakfast so many for lunch. Like Terri and??? do lunch one day- then 2 for breakfast, this way you are not cooking all the time. What does everyone think. We can decide on a simple menu and then go with a vote and whoever has allergies, dislikes or likes can speak up at this time.I don't think we need 3 meals a day, everyone should bring there own drinks and snacks. What does the group think on this???

Up until #8 and possibly #9 - I knew who was who. What is the total amount for each cottage per night including taxes, etc??

Also, I think everyone who is planning on going needs to go ahead and pay for the room. I'm a little concerned that someone may back out (emergency, etc - understandable) and the others will be left to pay their amount.

I also second Terri's idea that 2 people take a meal to be responsible for. Like a brunch type meal and dinner. This should work out great with the meals being prepared in another cottage.
Suggestions welcome.......

I could be wrong, but I am pretty sure each cabin has 4 beds. Chelle or Deb can verify that.

Betty, do you want us to pay you the full amount for both nights? I agree, chances are one of us will have to drop for some reason or another, I think it's "six of one, half dozen of the other" whether we pay all now and figure out how to divide it different later or the other way around. Just let me know, I can mail you a check if that is how you want to proceed.

Meal idea is fine with me, I don't mind cooking. For those that don't wish to cook, they could be assigned paper goods or something like that.

Mail a check? I need an addy so I can mail - please send email so I can get it in the mail in the next day or so.

I can also see if Chef Robb is available for some meals also... :)

with 8 every one has there own bed. 4 in each cabin and i pretty sure the couch pulls out so someone could sleep on the couch in the food cabin. the scrapbook c abin would have a full living room
It all sounds good. The price for the cabin was 84.95 without taxes and she said that we would have 9. something% in tax so I worked in ten jic. And what every makes you comfortable at this point I'll do. I'm fine with the kitchen 2 per meal it's a great ideal.
AND MICHELLE YOUR BACK YEAH I"M SO HAPPY. I'll get back with Y'all later today.Angie

so much

Where Do I begin again? I. Have. No. Ideal. I'm going to hit the ground running here and just say the past few years has held a great amount of change for my husband and I. We have lived new places made new friends and started over again. We are movers and shakers I guess. Not really just doing what we can to make life feel comfortable as possible. so lets get off and running, I haven't had a scrap space for almost a year, its been well over a year since I've used a cricut but not the gypsy. The cards most fast and quick and not picture worthy. As some things stay the same I'm still into clean lines its still a timeless favorite. So much of what you will see is rockin it old school or cute and quick and a few Pintrest inspirations. I'm a girl on the run so more quick than anything. For the first time in three years I plan not to travel for a few months and that makes crafting, blogging, and everything else less complicated and room for relaxation and fun. Enjoy the…

I want to live in Bexley

Of course you will not know this song however i must express myself

I want to live in Bexley
So I can drive a big car
I want to live in Bexley
So I can act like a big star

At least that's the way I remember the parody song in my head. This lovely song was composed by two male disk jockeys who hosted the pop music station in my home town. At the time Bexley was "the" place to live. So those who cant afford to live there naturally make fun of the people who do (do men really change as they grow older?) Today I was thinking about that song clipie and I went to Springhill Tn, drove through Franklin Tn, then we came to two little towns called Brentwood and Oak Hill. I must say I have seen some huge homes in my time I've been to parade homes worth millions and had more than 10,000 sq feet so yes I've seen big. However I have never seen a community of homes so big I would not be able to gander upon how big they were. Let my try to compare most of them, they made our old tow…

Ahh so I know no updates of late. A most lazy poster am I. I ve been not liking the current upload system for my pictures so that why I don't post often. Life is ok. We are still in Fort Worth. Traffic boggles my imagination daily I spend about an hour on the road everyday and its only 6 miles to hubby's work and back. Bright lights, big city, crappy traffic.

Do we like it? It's not the worst place we have lived. You'll find original Texans are friendly, problem is not many are around. Of course the possibility could be maybe I'm not that likable. I doubt I'll ever be able to answer that.

We have never bought a house for many reasons the main being ours in B.G. never sold. It sits after price reductions and after every real estate analysis you could think of. 30k plus under market value and yes I've had a recent estimate. The other is taxes. Taxes are about 6000 on a .25 acre lot here . so even if you buy a little house you have a horrid bill. In Arlington …
