one and a half scarfs later

Hi all I'm back from my Easter Vacation of 4 days. Wow it was just what the doctor ordered, I'm finally feeling pretty much like my self, sure I'm not going to to be going on any long walks just yet but I haven't had any need to sleep with my inhaler in my hand, so things are on the up swing. I was so glad to see my Mom. I have never been away from her this long (before) and let me tell y'all I needed some Mom time. Since I'm not speedy Gonzales just yet I actually got to sit and just have fun with her at home. Since sis and I are still having a bit of a cough we did visit our local Cracker Barrel (despite the fact my Dad wanted Arby's or McDonald's) and we had a good dinner. I did manage (with help from Betty crocker) to finally make my very first spice cake in a 13x9 pan with cream cheese frosting. I have only one thing to say Why have I not discovered spice cake more soon? I had made it because of late I have been the neglectful Aunt forgetting Bethany's (march 4)and Mikes birthday (the 14). I really do feel like an inch tall for forgetting, it was the first time, EVER! But any how Mr Mike had asked me to make him a spice cake quite a while ago and me liking to play in the flour I was was game on the spice! It turned out great and my Dad was caught several times with a little "extra" frosting near his upper lip. And yes of coarse I forgot to get a picture of that.

While I was home Mr Incredible took me to Achievers! Oh yeah it was fun and Yes I WAS VERY VERY VERY BAD, aha it felt good to be bad. My big purchase was a Score it and a fancy pants stamp. Oh my goodness half of the store was stamps. I also indulged in some ink that I cant get here. I'm going to be have a baby shower for Raven (Clipie's nice) here soon so most of the purchase were centred around it.

Yesterday I took mom to Micheal's and that was good for her. I also bought one of the Martha bird stamps. (yes Betty you can borrow it) And I'm now regretting not buying the handkerchief pack of Martha paper, I also wanted a punch but they were out. They had no new dollar stamps. And a bunch of miscellaneous Martha stuff on Clarence and I laughed my head off.

I'm Martha, and My stuff is to "special" to go on sale. NOT

As for the moment I'm off in search of a missing stamp (I have it just cant find it) I hope you all had a great Easter, safe travels and enjoy the great weather we are having for the next few days.

Did anybody see the Full page Hobby Lobby add in the Sunday paper. I'll take a pic and post it later.

Glad to hear your feeling better and had a great visit with family.

Too funny about the Bird Stamp - I will definitely take you up on that. Stamps seem to be the latest obsession in my house for some reason....

Yes, Hobby Lobby has been putting full page ads in newspapers on Christmas and Easter since 1997, which is awesome. Not to mention they are only one of a very few businesses that do not open on Sunday.

Hope you continue on the "upswing"
and I'll talk to you soon!!!
