I want to live in Bexley

Of course you will not know this song however i must express myself

I want to live in Bexley
So I can drive a big car
I want to live in Bexley
So I can act like a big star

At least that's the way I remember the parody song in my head. This lovely song was composed by two male disk jockeys who hosted the pop music station in my home town. At the time Bexley was "the" place to live. So those who cant afford to live there naturally make fun of the people who do (do men really change as they grow older?) Today I was thinking about that song clipie and I went to Springhill Tn, drove through Franklin Tn, then we came to two little towns called Brentwood and Oak Hill. I must say I have seen some huge homes in my time I've been to parade homes worth millions and had more than 10,000 sq feet so yes I've seen big. However I have never seen a community of homes so big I would not be able to gander upon how big they were. Let my try to compare most of them, they made our old town hall look nice and quaint. I told clipie we are going back some time and I'm going to take pictures cause I just can hardly believe how big they are. And the for sale signs crack me up, you would think that they would have a normal for sale sign instead they have these small iron worked pieces of art with a 8x14 poster in them and in a fancy rather small script is days "For Sale" . I'd like to think that with the values my mother instilled in me I would never feel like a fish out of watter but I truly think I would just maybe feel uncomfortable "a bit" fitting into a community like that. I know clipie and I are always (or seem to be) the ones who don't keep there grass mowed every three days (OK I admit it had been a solid month this past time but it was dry) or clipie is always the only man in the neighborhood with real tools that make loud noises or yes I am the only person in our neck of the woods who had a gazing globe and I could go on for a bit. But these are just so big I was just well quiet and you know quiet doesn't happen often with this chick. So that was neat to see homes that big. And being the nosy Rosie I am it left numerous questions in my mind like What do they do for a living? and Who cleans the house? and How may maids do they have? and Is the pool boy cute? and Is the driver who drives all your 9 cars in your 9 car garage cute? Just wondering.
I'll have more some time later but for now i gotta go

I'm willing to bet several CMT stars live in those areas. Alot of them have homes in the cities and counties outside of Nashville.

On another note who all is going to SV to scrap on 7-7-07? I called and signed up today. Sounds like alot of fun.

Big homes in neighborhoods mean big rules. I don't want anyone telling me how to cut my lawn, what I can park in my driveway, or which way the gargage needs to face. No way. I'll take my 1,800 square foot ranch in the woods any day. Besides, who wants to clean all that??

SBV, oh Betty, your timing is good! I just sent an email to those I have email for, I was thinking of going too, but not at 7am. Any later arrivals, I'd be happy to drive from Alvaton or meet ya there!

ITs a parody song about Columbus Ohio poking fun at the Big houses big car they drive. Nope I don't want to live like that. Maybe this next fall I'll be a blessing to join in the fun!

I want to live in Bexley
I want to have a gold card
I want to live in Bexley
With a pool in my back yard.

I want to live in Bexley
I want to drive a SAAB
I want to live in Bexley
With my nose in the air like a snob.
